My Pawkshake backstory:

I joined Pawkshake at the start of summer 2022 in order to spend my summer vacation taking care of animals while their families were away. After an excellent few months, I mostly took a break from petsitting to study abroad for 5 months, finish my Bachelor's degree, and work full time over the summer.

In fall 2023, I reactivated my Pawshake profile. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends! Please note that I am only accepting requests for cat-sitting at this time. Requests for dog walking will not be accepted (but I can refer you to some lovely and experienced friends with Pawshake profiles).

About me:

I am a 23-year old Masters student with a life-long love of cats. I have years of experience taking care of my own cats and catsitting for my friends and family. I live in Etterbeek and can travel to Ixelles and some parts of Brussels (near Midi, Central and North train stations, Ambiorix/Maelbeek/Trône/Merode areas).

I know first-hand what it's like to worry about your cats while away from home. While petsetting, I give you the care I would want for my own cat, and more importantly, I'll adjust to what you want for your cat. Whether your fur baby is cuddly, playful, social or requires their own space, I will take the best care of them while accommodating their needs.

A typical visit lasts between 30 and 90 minutes. During that time, I feed the cats and give them fresh water, empty their litter box, and spend some time with them however they prefer. I also like to take a few pictures or videos to keep you updated on how they're doing. Please let me know if you have additional requests (brushing, watering plants, taking in mail, taking out trash, etc.).

The more information about your cat you can give me, the better — I pay careful attention to the cat's personality and specific needs, becoming best friends with your cat at their own pace, and maintaining as much of their normal routines as possible while you're gone. I'll send you daily pictures, videos, and/or audio recordings (purr therapy, anyone?). Please tell me if you prefer to be updated every visit, every day, or less frequently.
