Hi there pet owners!
My name is Kelsey and I basically think of pets as children - I fail to see a difference! ❤️❤️❤️ I moved to Belgium 7 years ago and I'm on Pawshake because I don't have any pets of my own and so have very little interactions with furry friends. I grew up with two cats, a dog, and two budgies and have been around animals my whole life! I am offering petsitting services because I am genuinely interested in hanging out with your beloved pet while you go on vacation or leave the city for any reason. If there is anyone who needs a pet sitter to walk their furry friends or to watch them while you go on vacation! I used to walk my own dog, feed my cats and dog and birds, clean the litter of the cats, comb my dog and of course, cuddle and play with them all! I also worked at a summer camp for kids who wanted to be veterinarians, and have lots of experience with other pets as well (turtles, rats, ghekos). I have been on Pawshake now for about 5 years and have worked with puppies and kittens as well as cats as old as 18 and dogs as old as 15!! I have given oral medications to those that need it, and believe that no animal will be a problem. I love to help people, I am very friendly and I truly enjoy hanging out with animals. So, if you're in need of a pet sitter for a couple days, please let me know! I would be happy to feed and play with and cuddle your pets!
Please find below some basic information about what I offer:
--> Dog walking
-Dog walks are typically 30 minutes to 60 minutes, depending on the dog's needs
-I offer one to two dog walks per day
--> Dog/Cat/Other boarding
-I have a lovely apartment in the centre of Mechelen (no elevator to get to our place). I live with my boyfriend and 2 fish! We've hosted many cats and dogs here over the years and we absolutely love welcoming them into our home. There are parks (also leash free parks) nearby that I can easily take your pets as well.
--> House sitting
-I am happy to keep your house warm while you're off on vacation! Pets tend to like what they know, and I do not mind making sure they are comfortable!! (I can also water your plants, as I am a plant mom myself!)

Kelsey is heel professioneel. Communicatie is top en je merkt meteen dat ze om dieren geeft. Ze houdt je ook erg goed op de hoogte wanneer ze voor je diertje zorgt en stuurt dan afbeeldingen. Een aanrader.
Kelsey was amazing! We recently rescued a kitten, and over 2 days slowly integrated her with our 3 year old cat. The timing couldn't have been worse, because we rescued her on Monday and were due to leave for a vacation on Sunday, but we couldn't say 'no' to rescuing her. Luckily for us, we found Kelsey. She was incredible. She came over to meet both cats mid-week, prior to our departure, and they instantly fell in love with her. Kelsey kept us up to date with photos and videos which put our minds at ease while we were away. We arrived home today, and both cats were so well taken care of, it seems as though they barely missed us at all! Thank you, Kelsey. If we are ever in need again, you will be the first person that we reach out to!
