En semaine uniquement en soirée (à partir de 18h/18h30) et/ou les week-ends
Visite à domicile de minimum 1h00 afin de nourrir l'animal, changer l'eau, permettre le nettoyage (litière, cage), prodiguer des soins de base et donner des caresses et jouer si l'animal le souhaite.
Possibilité d'arroser des plantes (je ne garantis pas leur survie par contre), de sortir les poubelles et de relever le courrier si besoin.
Si wi-fi disponible, possibilité de rester sur place plus longtemps en journée pour télétravailler (sans supplément).
Possibilité d'accueillir un chat ou des rongeurs (en cage, avec sorties dans l'appartement en ma présence), en semaine (l'animal sera seul en journée sauf quand je télétravaille) et/ou le week-end.
Je m'adapte toujours au comportement de l'animal : je joue s'il en a besoin, je le caresse s'il le souhaite, je le laisse tranquille s'il est indépendant.
Matériel à apporter : bac à litière, litière, nourriture et éventuellement jouets préférés
Matériel sur place : coussins pour chats, couvertures, mini arbre à chat/griffoir, jouets, bols.
Je suis capable de prodiguer les soins de base, ayant dû le faire lors de mon bénévolat.
Je suis une personne très calme, je ne force jamais les animaux à venir vers moi. Si je rencontre des chats craintifs, je préfère m'installer dans un coin et attendre que le chat vienne à moi. J'aime m'adapter aux animaux : les caresser s'ils le souhaitent, jouer avec eux s'ils en ont envie, les laisser se reposer s'ils préfèrent.

Je vis dans un appartement d'environ 50m2, au 2ème étage sans ascenseur, sans accès extérieur. J'ai des protections pour les fenêtres en oscillo-battants mais je ne laisse pas les fenêtres ouvertes en cas d'absence.

Please note that I work full-time during the week but I can work from home 3 days per week. As I sometimes have to travel for work, I won't be able to confirm right away. But don't hesitate to ask, I will help you if I can. :)
Visit: min. 1h00 to give food, change the water, clean the space, provide care, play and give cuddles (if the animal wants to).
During the week: only after 18.30 (from Monday to Friday), possibility to stay with the cat during the day if I have Wi-Fi (to work from home)
During the weekend
I can also water the plants (but can't guarantee they will survive).
I can welcome a cat or rodents (with their cage) at my place.
During the day and the week, the animal will be alone at least twice a week (work from home possibly 3 times per week).
NB: I live in a 50m2 apartment, in a calm area and I am a calm person.
Equipment to be brought: litter, litter box, food
Equipment that I have: toys, cat beds, blankets, scratching post
*Since 2018, it is compulsory to sterilise cats in Belgium. Why? Around 30,000 cats are abandoned annually in shelters (and anywhere...). One-third are euthanised for lack of space and adopters, and stray cats also die because of hard lives on the streets. So spay & neuter!
About me: I have been living with animals (dog, cat, fish, mouse, rat, degu, rabbit, guinea pig) since childhood. And as an Introvert, I can say that animals are my best friends. I volunteered for 4 years at CatRescue, a cat shelter in Brussels: every Sunday morning, I took care of the cats and cleaned the shelter. I adopted an old cat in 2012. The shelter's vet told me that he would probably die soon... But we lived together for 7 years! My cat passed away at the end of 2019 (because of health issues) and I've been missing him. A few months after he left, I became a cat foster family for another cat shelter in Brussels, Ever'Y Cat, from March 2020 to May 2021. I currently don't have any animals (as my job requires me to travel) and I've been a cat-sitter since the summer of 2021. Being a cat-sitter is a perfect opportunity for me to have a cat at home or to take care of different cats, as I'm not ready yet to adopt.
