I’m new to professional dog walking, but I have real hands-on experience and a genuine love for dogs.

I previously had my own puppy for about a year, which gave me daily experience with walking, feeding routines, behavior understanding, and building trust with a dog. Although I had to rehome him due to frequent travel, I stayed closely involved in caring for dogs through friends and family.

I live in central Antwerp, right next to the Opera, with easy access to safe walking areas like Stadspark. I usually prefer to walk dogs in Stadspark, as it provides a calmer environment with less traffic and fewer overwhelming distractions, which helps dogs feel more relaxed and secure during their walk. Usually walks are around 30-50 mins depending on the dog's energy or the owner's preference!

I adapt each walk based on the dog’s personality and energy level whether they are energetic, nervous, reactive, or very calm. I always prioritize a safe, controlled, and positive experience.

Since I’m still a beginner walker, I believe strong communication with the owner is very important to me. Before and during walks, I like to understand the dog’s mood, energy level, and any specific needs. This includes information such as:

- how the dog usually behaves on walks

- if there are any behavioral triggers or sensitivities

- whether the dog is friendly with other dogs, people, or children

- what type of treats they like, and how much they are allowed to have

- any specific instructions about feeding or training routines

This helps me make sure the dog is comfortable, safe, and treated exactly the way the owner prefers.

For safety, I keep dogs on secure leads at all times, avoid unsafe interactions, and stay alert to their environment. If a dog is reactive, anxious, or overly excited, I calmly adjust the walk, redirect their attention, and choose quieter routes when needed.

I’m very flexible with timing since I’m not currently working elsewhere, so I can adapt to morning, midday, or afternoon walks depending on your dog’s routine.

Even though I’m just starting professionally, I’m responsible, observant, and genuinely care about animals. I treat every dog as if they were my own and always aim to make their walk safe, calm, and enjoyable.
