Who are we?
We are Matthew and Laura, and we have been living in Brussels since 2022. We are in our early thirties and from Finland (Laura 🇫🇮) and Canada (Matthew 🇨🇦). Laura has had cats her whole life: first Dana, her childhood cat, and now we both are happy staff to our rescue cat Mickey, who has been brightening our lives since 2019. 💛

Matthew works in the EU bubble, and Laura is an environmentalist. When not taking care of kitties, we enjoy reading, running, and cycling.  

What is our approach?
We are used to being around and taking care of cats, and we have a strong affinity for them. We recognise that every cat has its own personality and needs; we are happy to accommodate them and give them love in the way that they need it when you are gone.

We know how stressful it can be to leave your beloved pet in the care of someone else. With us taking care of your cat, you can enjoy your time away and know your cat is in good hands and taken care of exactly as agreed. 🤝

We can visit and take care of your kitty at your home. Usual things we do include feeding, changing water, cleaning the litter box, brushing, playing, and cuddling - whatever your cat prefers! We can also water plants and check your mailbox, if needed.

How do we work?
1. Send us a booking inquiry, and we will let you know ASAP if we are available.
2. If so, we usually have a meet-and-greet beforehand at your home. This way you can meet us and feel more secure about leaving your pet in our care, but also so that we can meet your cat(s) and learn the practicalities of what you and your cat need when you are gone. (If you need care for your pet urgently, we can also skip this step)
3. If you are satisfied you can 'officially' book us on the platform.

We stay at your home 45-60 minutes every time. We will message you when we arrive so you can feel secure that your cat is being taken care of. When we leave, we will message you with an update on how your cat is doing and what 'tasks' we did that time, along with photos of your fur baby. 📸

Why have a couple take care of my cat?
Normally, only one of us (Laura or Matthew) visits your home so the cat gets used to one person. However, having two people 'on call' is a good back-up in case of an emergency so that your cat is always cared for.

What languages do you work in?
Laura speaks Finnish and English, et elle peut se débrouiller en français (B1). Matthew speaks English et français de niveau débutant (A2).
