Hi fellow animal lovers! I'm Lauri. I'm 31, a freelance translator and writer, and I live in Flanders, Belgium. I have a huge heart for animals and mostly prefer them to humans. I'm a non-smoker and pet sit or house sit alone. I started casually cat sitting for a couple of friends with three feline family members 2 years ago and now even my extended social circle knows where to find me when they go on holiday. I've built enough experience and know that I'll be the best possible company for your furr babies when you're away, though no one can replace their own mom or dad. :) I can say by now, that I have extensive experience house and cat sitting, but I love all animals. I've even bird sat in my own home and loved that too. Cats that needs cuddling on the couch or a dog that needs walking? No problem! I have experience with senior cats, pedigree cats and big bold slightly too fat cats on a specialised diet ;) If you have any other pets, that you don't like to tear away from their home during your vacation, I'll love them too. Your bunnies, hamsters, birds... are also safe with me. Except for a tarantula. I'll even do snakes but spiders... nope. Sorry not sorry. I'm hands-on and calm when handling cats so any special needs or requirements, like giving medication or baths or regular vet visits, are probably fine by me. Just check with me to be sure. I have a Belgian driver's license and my own car. I'm a type A person that likes her own space very neat and quiet, which means I will naturally keep your home clean and will not make a ruckus. If you want me to water your plants or do other basic house chores that are not self-evident, just ask! I'm very likely to say yes. I'm not a cleaning lady but I am a lady who likes cleaning. :) What can I do for you? -House sit -Pet sit -Visit you home to take care of your pets & plants without overnight stay if you live within a 30 min drive from Heist-op-den-Berg. What do I need from you? -I am meticulous and punctual and expect the same from the people who hire me. I like clear, extensive instructions about everything I cannot simply know about your pets and about your home. Pictures are appreciated. Put it in Notion, print it out, laminate it and put it on the kitchen counter.... do whatever suits you. I just love clear manuals that help me manage your home and lovely fur babies exactly as you would like it. That way I won't have to bother you during your trip and all you'll be getting from me is some moderate spam of your happy pets if that's what you're into. What won't I do? -I'm not going to live in your home with strange humans you've left behind. Animals only, please! I'm a woman alone and I also like to feel safe, just like your pets. If I house sit, I'm going to be the only person in your house. -I'm going to keep your place very neat and clean but I'm not going to do extensive deep-cleaning. That's a different service. :)
