I grew up with cats and have a natural affinity to them which probably comes from my grandmother who always had them around.

My first cat when I left university was cross-eyed and used to fall of the window sill. He was a funny little thing that I got from the Humane Society.

Another 2 cats I got from a couple who were having a baby and couldn't keep them anymore. The next beautiful grey creature was found from a sign on the side of the road for free kittens.

He slept next to me every day of his life, of which the last 6 years, he was diabetic. I gave him insulin by needle twice a day and made sure he had special food.

Sadly he died at the age of 15, having lived a well-travelled life in the USA, France and Belgium.

I now have 3 very furry cats (two 15 yrs old and another who is 3) with distinct personalities, all from Belgium. The 15 year olds have enjoyed 9 years in Singapore before coming back to Belgium. I got all of them as kittens. One is a huge fluffy Mainecoon, one a blue-eyed soft Ragdoll and the other a velvety tuxedo like colouring European street cat our neighbours rescued from under a car.

I find cats interesting and amusing with their personality traits. No two are alike. Stroking their fur and listening to and feeling their purring is comforting and healing.

What I do: I'm available to come to your home to clean the litter and give food and water and lots of cuddles (if your cat likes this).

I come for a "get to know each other" visit and can either take the keys then or get them later.

Upon your return I can either leave your keys in a secure area or bring them back to you.

Visits are 45-60 minutes long.

I usually WhatsApp you to a few times to let you know how things are going and also to make sure you are returning when you should be to ensure your cats are cared for accordingly should you be delayed for any reason.

Prerequisite:

Your cats have been treated for fleas and tics regularly, as I have no wish for them to have a free ride home with me to my own cats, something that has happened before and was definitely not fun.

And as I take care of other people's cats, it won't be fun for them either.
