My name is Geert (Ms.). I am a house and pet sitter from Steenokkerzeel. 

Services offered 

· Short stays, long stays, day care, walks (frequency and duration to be discussed), and drop-ins (depending on availability and location).
I provide pet sitting services on location only, though exceptions can be made in special cases.

What does this entail?
· House supervision, collecting mail, watering plants, receiving deliveries, taking out the trash and other daily tasks involved in managing a household. 

· I maintain close contact with the owners. 

· I send daily photos and videos of the pets (usually via WhatsApp) or I adapt to other preferences. 

· I’m able to administer medication and take pets to the vet when needed (I’ve done this several times before). I keep an information booklet with each pet’s habits and commands to ensure their routines are followed consistently.

· In case of emergencies, I act quickly and inform the owners immediately. In the past, I’ve handled issues such as internet connection problems and water leaks. I monitored the repairs and reported back to the owners. 

· Additionally, I can also be hired for cleaning and (re)organizing cluttered spaces (fee to be discussed).

About myself
I have years of experience in pet and house sitting and I am the regular sitter for several families in Belgium. I’ve also worked as a sitter abroad.
If desired, I can provide excellent references (written reviews or phone numbers).

I have experience with different dog breeds, ranging from very small dogs to large breeds like Newfoundlanders, and dogs with a variety of temperaments. I also have experience with cats, chickens, rabbits, and fish. 

I’m familiar with homes that have additional facilities such as swimming pools, jacuzzis, alarm systems, etc. I review all necessary information with the owners and note it accordingly.

I am highly responsible. Owners can fully trust me with their beloved pets and home. I respect their belongings and privacy, and I stay out of areas where I don’t need to be.

In my free time, I enjoy practising sports, learning new things and spending time with animals. In addition to Dutch, I speak English, French, Spanish, and some Portuguese and German.

My expectations
I only pet sit in non-smoking homes, where there is absolutely no cigarette odor, as I am very sensitive to this.
The home must be clean and tidy, and I will leave it in the same condition.
I expect a comfortable bed and a quiet workspace with a good internet connection.

I do not take on assignments where:
- A dog pulls excessively or too hard on the leash (and I’m expected to walk the dog).
- A dog displays aggressive behavior toward people or other animals.

Additionally, I don’t pet sit certain breeds, as they can be very strong dogs (unless it’s a small mix 😉). These include Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Staffordshire Terriers, Cane Corso's and Mastiffs.

My working method
If you’re interested in working with me, I believe it’s important that we meet in advance. This allows us to see not only how I connect with your pets, but also how we connect as owners and sitter.

Once the booking is confirmed, I’ll create an information booklet, either during our initial meeting or on a return visit. This booklet includes all the essential details about your pets (such as their sleeping, eating, and walking routines, medication, habits, how long they can be left alone, and your vet and emergency contact information) as well as any relevant information about your home.
