Hiii

Originally from The US, my name is Kwen and I have 5 years of experience with professional pet care. In the US I worked at a dog daycare caring for up to 40+ dogs at once (but on my favorite days, there were only 10.) After a couple of years cuddling dogs and a few cats, I became a full time dog walker for an independant business and then started my own business here in Bruxelles. 

I have since realized I don't like paperwork, so pawshake it is!

Working face to face with clients helped me learn the best way to care for pets and to adapt my clients needs. I work with cats and other animals (see below), but my speciality lies with dogs. 

AVAILABILITY

I have a day job at the moment, I'm usually working M - F from 8H -16H30.

Expérience

In my career, I've worked with: 

- puppies (Such sharp teeth)

- older dogs who require a gentle walk, 

- sick and injured animals

- pets with behavioral issues (human/dog agressive, PTSD, Separation anxiety etc).

I am capable of training basic commands and teaching different forms of play. I can handle large and small dogs, with no price difference for size, and I am capable of preventing/de-escalating any potential fights instigated by any socially aggressive animals.

I am happy to walk dogs solo or in a group for 30 mins or, for a slightly higher price, one hour.

I can deliver medication to dogs orally with treats or, if absolutely necessary, hand to mouth. 

CATS & OTHERS

I love cats! My favorites are the needy ones but even if they're asocial, I'm happy to take a photo and talk to them while I deliver wet food and back away slowly. 

Typically I stay at the home for at least 30mins caring for the cats, playing with them, cleaning any messes I notice or just existing in their space long enough to be sure that nothing is amiss. I have little to no experience giving medicine to cats aside from adding powder in food and that hairball paste that's usually a 50/50 in terms of taste. 

Recently I gained the chance to care for a small farm of chickens, bunnies, and guinea pigs. I love to take on new challenges, so if you dont see your pet in my page, reach out to me anyway. Chances are I'll *professionally* squeal with joy at the prospect of learning something new. Unless it's a parrot. I don't think they like me very much.

Also, I love taking weird photos, usually by posing something on your pets head.
