Hi! I’ve always had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs and cats. I’ve had both dogs and cats myself back home in the U.S., so I understand how much they become part of the family and how important it is to feel comfortable with the person looking after them. I have previous pet-care experience from when I lived in Boston, where I provided dog walking, boarding, and pet visits. I regularly visited people’s homes to walk their dogs, feed them, spend time with them, and care for cats while their owners were away. I genuinely enjoyed the experience because every pet has its own personality, routine, and little habits. Now that I’m in Hasselt, I’d love to continue doing something I genuinely enjoy. I offer dog boarding, daycare, and dog walking, mainly on weekends. My availability for boarding is generally from Friday evening until Sunday evening, which can be especially convenient if you’re going away for the weekend, have plans, or simply need someone you can trust to look after your dog for a couple of days. I live in a ground-floor apartment with a large terrace, giving dogs some outdoor space to get fresh air and move around during the day, in addition to their regular walks. I enjoy having dogs around and making sure they receive plenty of attention, company, and stimulation. Safety & Supervision Your dog’s safety and well-being are my top priorities while they are staying with me. I always make sure doors and access points are secure, and I supervise dogs when they are on the terrace or interacting with their surroundings. I also keep their individual personality, energy level, and comfort in mind when planning walks and activities. I don’t believe pets should be left alone for unnecessarily long periods during boarding. I prefer to spend as much time with them as possible and keep them part of my daily routine. If I do need to leave the apartment for a short period, I make sure your dog is in a safe, comfortable environment before I go and consider their individual needs and separation tolerance. I’m also happy to discuss your dog’s normal routine and how they are accustomed to being left alone before the booking. During their stay, I’ll make sure they receive their usual meals, regular walks, bathroom breaks, attention, and rest time. I’m happy to follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walking habits, medication instructions where appropriate, and any little things that help them feel safe and comfortable. In Case of an Emergency Before boarding, I’ll ask you for important information such as your contact details, your preferred emergency contact, your veterinarian’s information, and any relevant medical or behavioral information about your dog. This allows me to act quickly and responsibly if something unexpected happens. If your dog becomes unwell or there is an emergency, I would contact you as soon as possible and, when necessary, seek veterinary assistance. I take any unusual behavior, injury, illness, or change in condition seriously rather than simply waiting to see if it improves. Meet & Greet Before a first booking, I think it’s always important to have a short meet-and-greet. This gives us a chance to get to know each other, discuss your dog’s routine and personality, and make sure your dog feels comfortable with me and the environment. I know it can be difficult to leave your pet with someone else, especially for the first time. My goal is to make the experience as safe, comfortable, and worry-free as possible. Whether your dog is staying with me for the weekend, joining me for daycare, going for a walk, or your cat needs some care while you’re away, I want you to feel confident that your pet is receiving attentive, responsible, and loving care. Your pet isn’t just another booking — while they’re with me, I treat them with the same care, patience, and attention I would want for my own pets.
