Animals have always been a natural part of my life. Growing up in a Danish-German family, our home was often a place where pets could feel safe and cared for. Over the years, my family regularly looked after dogs and cats from neighbours, friends, and even friends of friends whenever owners were sick, travelling, or needed someone trustworthy to care for their pets. This gave me many years of hands-on experience with animals with different personalities, breeds, and needs.

I have also spent several summer holidays helping at dog breeders with Rhodesian Ridgebacks and gained additional experience through dog training with my aunt’s Poodle. Moreover, I have helped out in an animal shelter in my home town, walking small dogs with special needs for a few years. Regarding pets requiring medical care, my mother’s cat was ill for a year, during which I helped administer injections. This experience has made me comfortable assisting with medication administration for pets. Beyond dogs and cats, I have always been fascinated by animals in general and would also be happy to care for other pets, including reptiles, amphibians, fish, and other small animals, as long as I receive clear instructions about their individual care requirements. As a side note, I am also a biologist and have taken an internship as a zookeeper before. If your plants need to be watered or treated against pests, I am happy to do that, too. 

I offer dog and cat sitting, home visits, and walks. During walks, I adapt the duration and pace to the individual dog’s age, health, and energy level, with typical walks lasting around 30–60 minutes. Besides exercise, I provide feeding, fresh water, playtime, companionship, litter box cleaning, and maintaining your pet’s normal routine as much as possible. I am also happy to administer basic medication when clear instructions are provided.

I can care for pets either at your home or, when suitable, in my own home. I am available on weekends and most weekdays, as I can work from home when needed, allowing me to provide company and supervision during the day.

Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are my priority. In case of an emergency, I would immediately contact you and, if necessary, seek veterinary help. I also like to keep owners updated during bookings by sharing messages, photos, and small updates, so you can feel reassured that your pet is happy and well cared for while you are away.

I enjoy getting to know each animal individually and creating a calm, safe, and positive environment. I am comfortable with pets of different personalities and energy levels, but I am not the right sitter for dogs with highly aggressive behaviour. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, respected, and cared for like they were my own.
