I’m Kübra, 36 years old, I studied public administration in college, worked in corporate banking, and currently work as a yoga and pilates instructor. I’m an outdoors enthusiast, enjoying activities like camping, diving, hiking, riding, bouldering, swimming, skiing, traveling, and meditating. My husband and I live in the city center with our two cats, Sonic (10 years old) and Zuzi (6 years old), both adopted at two months old. Here is also an LGBTQ+ friendly profile! 🌈

As the name suggests, I’m passionate about cats. I’ve had a deep connection with animals for over 20 years, having kept birds, turtles, and a dog growing up. Turkey, particularly İzmir and Istanbul, where I used to live, has a large population of stray animals, and I spent my time volunteering, feeding, treating, and providing shelter for them. Now, I continue supporting volunteers and vegan organizations in Turkey with a portion of my earnings, and I also help find good homes for kittens in Ghent.

Cats are my specialty, and I keep up with the latest information through academic articles, expert videos, and other sources. I’ve been pet-sitting on Pawshake for almost 3 years, which has given me valuable experience with various breeds and personalities. 

Cats have also been instrumental in my personal growth, teaching me patience, resilience, mindfulness, and the importance of boundaries. They show us how to be present, love unconditionally, and find joy in simple moments. Cats have shown me what it means to be a mother without giving birth and to reconnect with my inner child.

I approach my work with a deep understanding that every animal has its own unique personality, and their behavior can change, especially when their owners are away. My priority is to respect the cat's space and routine while allowing it time to get used to me. I excel at engaging with shy cats, helping them feel comfortable and at ease. If you’re looking for a pet-sitter who can build a bond with your cat without causing stress, you’ve come to the right place.

I don't limit my visits to 30 minutes, as I believe that genuine connection requires more time. My visits typically last 40-45 minutes, and I can stay longer if needed. I regularly send photos and videos to keep you updated, and I handle all feeding and care instructions carefully. If your cat needs medication, I will ensure they receive it as directed, whether it's oral, injectable, or post-surgery care. In case of emergencies, I can take your cat to the vet or call the vet to your home. Although it's difficult to talk about, during my three years as a pet-sitter, I've had many experiences with sick and elderly cats, which has given me considerable experience in providing palliative care. Additionally, one of my own cats, Sonic, was diagnosed with a severe form of cancer and underwent a major surgery that required part of his spine to be removed.This can be a challenging process, but if you're going through something similar and need to travel, I can take care of your cat in my home, providing a comfortable environment where they won't be left alone during their illness or recovery. 

I’m meticulous about cleanliness and housekeeping, following all guidelines for waste disposal and ventilation. I can also operate robot vacuums or traditional vacuums for reservations longer than three days to ensure a clean environment for your pets. Additionally, I can take care of your plants, whether it’s watering, applying supplements, or tending to gardens. 

I prefer visiting cats in their own homes, as it’s less stressful for them. If your cat requires specific visit times (for medication, for example), I can accommodate that. Otherwise, my standard visit times are between 11:00 and 20:00 during the summer. For twice-daily visits, I come in the morning and evening.

Besides cats, I’m experienced with a range of animals, including turtles, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, chickens, roosters, and some exotic species. If you have a pet not listed here, I’d love to meet them!
